Manufacturing High Impact

APPLICATIONS CLOSED. If you missed out contact WHK Busines Growth today on info@whkbusinessgrowth.com

This is a fantastic opportunity for twelve Auckland based manufacturing businesses to grow profits and improve capability. This advanced training programme is pitched at a practical level, focusing on building your business (not product) and profitability. Delivered by practitioners who have experience in the manufacturing sector, the programme will utilise concepts that are derived from experience with other New Zealand manufacturing businesses and teach lessons not taught in Harvard Business School.

At the completion of this programme participants will:

  • Be able to identify where their products fit into a global market for manufactured products, identify their competitive advantage and understand what they must do to deal with low cost competitors
  • Know the steps and costs to exporting and distribution overseas and setting a price to succeed on international markets
  • Make a presentation to sell their products and close sales
  • Develop leadership skills especially around building management capacity and motivating others within the business
  • Use a process for making bit decisions and generate innovation
  • Learn how to engage staff in continuous improvement activity
  • Understand the key performance indicators for a manufacturing business
  • Learn how to adjust to a shrinking economy and dropping sales.

Feedback from previous participants:

In running our businesses often we don't know what we don't know. This programme was able to give us a perspective on how we operate from a ten thousand foot viewpoint from people who were able to describe best practice and had industry experience. This is extremely valuable for a business looking to expand. I thoroughly recommend it.

I found the course (High Impact Manufacturing) to be thoroughly rewarding.  The topics discussed were very relevant to my family business and I have already put some of what we learned into practice. The presenters were all very knowledgeable and the follow up coaching I have received to date has been most helpful.  Attending the course with business people in a similar situation to me was an added bonus as hearing their experiences gave me a better perspective of where my family's business is positioned.
