This is a fantastic opportunity for up to 15 Auckland based creative sector businesses to grow and improve profitability. The programme material is set at an advanced level, where we explore the commercial challenges facing businesses operating in creative fields such as media, publishing, design, visual arts, screen and entertainment.
Programme Modules:
Made up of four workshops and one-on-one follow up coaching sessions, the programme will cover the following key business development areas:
Day 1: Marketing for Growth & Building your Sales and Distribution Channel (9am - 4.30pm)
- Market viability and assessing your industry
- Then basics for growth - Low risk vs high risk pathways
- How does your brand measure up?
- Qualifying prospects
- Building Partnerships and pipeline management
Day 2: International Market Development and Advanced Web Marketing (9am - 4.30pm)
- Using an export entry model to decide the best strategy
- Direct marketing or expansion through distributors and agents?
- How to build effective off shore partners, agreements and measuring your partner’s performance
- Gaining new customers via the online channels and maintaining them
- Key search engine optimization techniques
- Social networking – Your customers can do the promotion for you. Are you making the most of these opportunities?
- Email marketing and managing customer relationships long after they have left to go home.
Day 3: Growing the Profitability of your Business (9am - 4.30pm)
We look at the financial elements of your business and identify where changes can be made.
- Creating the right business structure
- Cost behaviour and pricing strategies
- Cashflow management and budget analysis
- Benchmarking
- Financial ratios
- Tax - Part of a successful business
Day 4: Leading a Winning Team (9am - 4.30pm)
Participants work together to lead their business to long term growth. In teams participants will:
- How to move a small business from average to great - testing your assumptions
- Agree the real issues constraining growth and profitability
- Develop a strategic plan
- Implement your plan through effective team leadership
The format will be highly interactive. This is a totally new approach to accelerated learning we are confident you will both enjoy and benefit from.
This is an opportunity to learn from industry peers facing similar challenges and develop action plans that will deliver a marked improvement performance.
