This is an interactive workshop that provides you with an interactive approach to negotiations. The skills you acquire will help you in your role as salesperson or negotiator as well as in your day to day relationships. Business people who master negotiation find they save time and money and develop a higher level of satisfaction with outcomes at home and work as well as gaining greater respect from others.
Negotiation is fundamental to life at work. This one day workshop will provide you with a basic comfort level in negotiating with both staff, suppliers and clients. The interactive style of the workshop will teach techniques for effective communications, emphasising problem solving and consensus building. You will learn how to turn confrontation into side by side problem solving that results in a win win solution.
As a result of this course you will:
- Understand how often we all negotiate and the benefits of good negotiation skills.
- Recognise the importance of preparing for the negotiation process, regardless of the circumstances
- Be able to identify the various negotiation styles, their advantages and disadvantages.
- Develop strategies for dealing with tough or unfair tactics.
- Gain skill in developing alternatives and recognising options.
- Have the opportunity to practice the “how to” of these skills in a supportive environment
