The ICT sector was the first to be able to take advantage of this fully funded top tier training programme (more about High Flyer). Applications are now open and we invite ICT businesses to apply for the 2010 series now.

The 6 workshop pathway will allow participants to advance their skills in marketing, finance, export and sales pitch, plus allow for networking and industry specific conversation. Industry guest speakers include: Rod Drury from Xero; Owen Scott from Concentrate; Wayne Hudson of Hudson Gavin Martin; Greg Allum & Mike Engle from the Software of Excellence International.

Using Marketing to Improve Sales and Networking Drinks - 21 April, 9am - 4.30pm
No matter how good your technology is, taking a strategic approach to your marketing including distribution channels and branding is essential to achieve your market potential and continued success.

This session will be followed by an evening of networking, drinks and canapes.

International Sales and Structuring / Tax Issues - 28 April, 9am - 4.30pm
It is s a crowded market out there! Strong international sales skills and a compelling sales pitch message are key elements in winning international business as well as a good understanding of the real taxing issues that could be involved with your market expansion.

Building your Media Profile and Developing an Effective Delivery Model - 05 May, 9am - 4.30pm
It is hard to get noticed in a crowded market. Generating the right media coverage and building community networks is essential to stand out and win new business. An effective business model from product/service development to delivery is critical to success.

Good Business Governance – Structure and Practices - 12 May, 9am - 4.30pm
As your business grows to higher levels good governance practices and a board culture will be required to manage continued growth and leverage from increased market opportunities. This will include the separating out of key management roles with best practice risk management practices adopted.

Entrepreneurial Leadership to Ensure Continuing Success - 19 May, 9am - 4.30pm
Your leadership role and style will need to change and evolve through the three key stages of ICT entrepreneurial growth and associated growth challenges. The continued success of your business is largely about your leadership attributes and self awareness and the need for change to ensure you proactively guide your company to higher levels of business success.

Implementation Is Everything – Wrap Up And Where to Next? - 26 May, 9am - 4.30pm
This final workshop session is designed to help business implement and measure their marketing plans resulting from their combined workshop learnings and action plans developed. There will be time to reflect, review, identify and prioritise key growth issues as part of our workshop follow-up coaching services. Divided into two groups, participants will also have the opportunity to present their sales pitch in front of a Dragons Den type panel (and peers) for their constructive feedback.
